Flyers game or death?

Um, game please?

Do you know where Soph and I were on Monday? Not studying, even though we had comps and tests! (Senoritis!) No, thanks to our favorite enabler being in Montreal, Soph and I got to see the Flyers take on the Devils. We were so optimistic about this game that we practically congratulated a Devils fan at the train station beforehand. Even the guy who sold us our tickets on the train thought the Devils would win.

But wait! The Flyers actually won! Against the Devils. And in spite of about eighty consecutive penalties. ("Ass-hole!" and "Hey ref you suck!" were in full regalia.) Here are some other notes from the game:

-The first period had additional fireworks when some lightbulbs in one of those huge lighting consoles burst above the next section over. So our section had a lovely smoky smell and potential threat of death.

Kristin, aren't you so sad you missed this?

-Because we took the train, we made it in time for warm-ups and got to watch them front row behind the net! Would you like to be ghetto fabulous like Carter and Richards? Then crank up "Public Service Announcement" by Jay-Z and "Swagger Like Us" by T.I. and a million other rappers! (I can't lie, we were enjoying the jams. And like Carter and Richards, we're pretty ghetto fab.)

-We think that tonight's game should be renamed "Giggles Wig Night" because Hartnell has definitely stolen our roommate's 'do.

-One guy sitting behind us was in love with Riley Cote... or at least in love with calling him "Riley-Ry!" Anytime Cote got near the puck. Um, okay budddy, whatevs...

Also! Kristin, you almost got a weird text that went something like, "Um, Kristin... where would one, um, buy a margarita at the game?" Soph and I are intrigued since you talk about them sometimes! They must be good... right?

And in our fantasy hockey league, Soph has made it to the second round of the playoffs! Woooo! Slightly Sucky is representing for Slightly Saucy, since I didn't even make it to the playoffs. (The Killer Cupcakes are in a rebuilding phase, okay?) This week, Soph is playing K-Mart to see who will make it to the finals. Meanwhile, Kristin and I are chiling in the consolation playoffs. It's hard in here for a pimp.

Sorry if this post is incoherent. I had my senior comprehensives today... meaning I spent six hours writing about literature. I think this is the lifestyle Fergie describes in "Glamorous"...

Oh my goodness, I'm happy I missed this game. I'm not sure I could have handled burst and smoking lightbulbs!

As for the Margaritas, they are not good, but they get the job done. You can get them in the "World's largest arena bar" aka, the AT&T Wireless Pavilion, near section 115.

And yay Soph, you are totally going to win the championship this week! You knocked out Kmart!!!

Yeah, once the lights started smoking, we were like, "Oh hey, that can't be good!" It was a little nerve-wracking, but they resolved it quickly...

haha It's probably for the best that we weren't boozing it up at the game... we wouldn't want to take a tumble down the stairs in your section! Maybe some other time we'll venture to the AT&T Pavilion...

Soph has been dominating the league! She's on fire!

Did anyone fall down the stairs while you were there? It happens every game (and not just to me!!!)

haha No, no one took a spill, as far as we could tell. Those steps are a little tricky, though!

I've definitely tripped up the stairs at the Wachovia Center before...
